How to be a GLOBAL PINOY?

The making of this article was inspired by one of the speakers of the MIMAROPA Regional I.T. Congress happened last November 22, 2012 at DWCC Calapan City. The speaker is an engineer named Engr. Howell Palatino.

He discussed the 7 C's one Pinoy must posses in order to be a GLOBAL PINOY.

1. COMPETENCE

Here, he used Charice Pempengo as the model. From being bullied in her childhood as "pandak", "maitim", and "pango" she is now a STAR. She pursued her hobby singing, and joined different competitions and won. She became the Youtube Sensation and had the chance to work with David Foster and other well known personalities.






2. CONFIDENCE

Cristeta Comerford (born 1962) is the first woman to serve as White House Executive Chef. As executive chef, Comerford holds the top position within the White House kitchen. She is the White House's first female executive chef and the first minority to hold the position. Mr. Howell said we must belief, prepare, and initiate ourselves to the things that may bring benefits in our life.







3. CHARACTER

Efren PeƱaflorida is  a teacher and social worker in the Philippines. He is the founder and head of the Dynamic Teen Company, which offers Filipino youth an alternative to street gangs through education, recreating school settings in unconventional locations such as cemeteries and trash dumps.
On November 22, 2009, he was named CNN Hero of the Year for 2009. This man share what he has especially to those who really need his help, and that are the out of school youths.

This is Illac Diaz a good friend of Mr. Howell. Nurtured by an Italian-born mother, Silvana nee Ancellotti, Illac studied High School in Ateneo de Manila in 1990. He earned his bachelor in Management Economics also at Ateneo. As a young fellow and bachelor, he was then a model, a party-goer and an actor for sometime. He was also an advertising executive for Smart Communication. But he strove for more.
He took  Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) with graduate thesis: “Shanties to Jobs: Creating a Migrant Center in Manila.”
He said that in communicating with someone you must convey your thoughts with clarity, effectiveness, and the way you delivered it must be harnessed through practice.

 Jessica Soho (born March 27, 1964) is Filipino broadcast journalist, documentarian and news director who received George Foster Peabody Award and was the first Filipino to win the British Fleet Journalism Award. She belongs also to the Hall of Fame.
She has this connection in the people of authority, people in the industry, and the people who know other people








6. COLLABORATION

When talking of COLLABORATION, this woman is the representation. She is Sally Jo Bellosillo. She knows how to work in group and to make things work in a group. She is the first Filipino filmmaker to gather the major players of the EDSA Revolution such as Imelda Marcos, Fidel Ramos, Corazon Aquino and many more. She has this effective partnerships, relationships, and teamwork.

Emmanuel "Manny" Dapidran Pacquiao is a Filipino Professional boxer and a politician. He won 7 world titles and first to have Lineal Championship.

He has the passion on what he is doing. he pour out all his focus on his chosen field and persevere more to attain his goals.
